Hey Creative,

At the start of this new year, I am reminded of a crucial passage of Scripture from the Apostle Paul from the Book of Ephesians, chapter 2.

After expounding upon the grace given to us by God the Father through the Son—the crazy love of God given to us through Jesus Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and exaltation that isn’t merited through any sort of good works—that we have been saved by grace through faith, raised up with Christ, and seated with him in the heavenly realms—after exposing all that he says this:

For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.

Eph 2:10, NRSV

In other words: We have been created to create. There is a way of life—specific and unique to each of us, made for each of us—prepared for us from the foundation of our very being that we are meant to do. A goodness—a specific goodness that is meant to be our way of life.

So what is that—for you?

No go and do it. Live and lean into the creative good works you’ve been created to create this year, this week, this day.

Create for Christ,
